Jennifer Lopez

JenniferJennifer dreamed of all her life to become a multitasking superstar. As a child Jennifer was a fan of many different music styles, but she particularly loved Afro-Caribbean music like salsa, merengue and the bachata. Also, she was a fan of mainstream musicsuch as hip hop and R&B. She was a big fan of films and music. West Side Story (1961), Rita Moreno's musical that has had the most influence on her as well as her main source of inspiration. At 5, Jennifer began taking singing and dancing lessons. Jennifer, besides being entertainer and Catholic schoolgirl, attended 8 years at Holy Family Catholic elementary school in The Bronx. After a four-year stay at the school, she was able to graduate from Preston High School, an all-girls prep school. Jennifer did well in sports at school and participated in tennis and track and field. Her entire life was living in a 2-story home located in the Castle Hill neighborhood. Jennifer left her home with her parents when she was the age of 18 to go out. In the meantime, Lopez worked at a law firm while she took dancing gigs at night.
