Annie Lennox

Annie Lennox, born 25th December 1954, in Aberdeen Scotland. Dorothy Farquharson and Thomas Allison Lennox are her parents. Lennox was accepted to the Royal Academy of Music in London during the 1970s when she took flute lessons and the harpsichord over three years. Lennox survived off the stipend of a student as well as working part-time to supplement her earnings. Lennox wasn't happy with the quality of her abilities compared to others at the Royal Academy and began looking to find alternative routes. Lennox started her professional career in the year 1976, in a band called Dragons Playground. The band did not get to compete in the talent contest New Faces on I.T.V. She was the singer of The Tourists from 1977 until in 1980. That was also where she came across Dave Stewart with whom she will form the pop duo Eurythmics. Lennox then began to work on her debut solo album Diva that was out by 1992. The album received a lot of praise from the press and critics. Nostalgia Lennoxs 6th solo album debuted in October of 2014. The C.D. is a selection of Lennoxs favorite blues and soul jazz tracks from her early years. Additionally, in May 2019, Lennox published Lepidoptera a collection of four improvised piano tracks. The E.P. is the companion album for her installation of art in the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art called"Now, I'll let You Go... It's the first time she has released an independent album. Annie Lennox, born on December 25, 1954 in Scotland, is a philanthropist as well as a politician. She sings. The Tourists had a minor hit in late 1970s. Lennox, along with Dave Stewart, a fellow musician, would go on to become famous internationally in the 1990s when they formed the Eurythmics. Lennox's debut album in 1992 Diva produced many successful songs, including Why and Walking on Broken Glass. Medusa, her 1995 album studio, features version covers of the songs No MoreI Love Yous and The Whiter Shade of Pale. Six studio albums of her own, plus one compilation album at her disposal.
